‘The Dove Brothers’ are a gospel singing quartet that originated in 1997 when a few brothers joined together to make music. It all started there and has become bigger and bigger ever since. Decatur Christian as a whole is a fan of the quartet and has been since 2009. That was the year that a few boys from the freshman class (now juniors) put on a lip syncing performance for class chapel. It was such a hit that the class ended up doing it at the next chapel as well. Sadly the act was forgotten for a while when the class of 2013 stopped singing ‘Get Away Jordan’ in chapel. That all changed this year at the school’s annual fall auction.
Zach Bayless, Andrew Pilcher, Jon Rasche, and Monte Rapp put on their suits and ties and broke out in song- well, technically. Once again The Dove Brothers were brought back to life and everyone was left wanting more. Another performance was held at the last school chapel. Who knows what it will take for the spirit in this act to ever die out…
