Christmas Season

Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. This is the time where we can eat candy canes, wear Christmas sweaters, watch movies with family and friends by the fire place, and even play in the snow! For students, Christmas time means the end of the semester and that wonderful break that we get from homework and tests. While this is true, this is not why we should look towards Christmas break. Christmas break is about being with family and friends and rejoicing in the birthday of Jesus Christ. He came as a little baby into this world that needed him dearly so that he could die on the cross to take away our sins. Christmas time is about rejoicing in the fact that because of Him, we can live in eternity with him and that death is not the end. Yes, candy canes, school breaks, and presents under the tree are great and a way we celebrate the Christmas season, but I encourage everyone to really think about what Christmas means during this holiday season. When you think about what the Christmas season is really about, you get a sense of joy that comes from it. I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas with their families and gets the true joy from Christmas.
