At Decatur Christian, we have made a commitment to keeping our tuition as low as possible.  Our purpose is to enable any child who wishes to attend DCS.   We consider this our ministry to our community and the many families whose lives we touch.  Therefore, it is no surprise to tell you that our tuition only covers a portion of our costs.   In order to be fiscally responsible, we build our budget not only upon tuition, but also, upon gifts and grants which help sustain the DCS ministry.

Your support for DCS may be designated in a variety of ways and can be given either to Decatur Christian School or the Decatur Christian Education Foundation.  In general, school gifts are used to offset expenses of the general budget and for special programs or purchases.  The Decatur Christian Education Foundation gifts are used primarily for student scholarships to help families in financial need.  All gifts are tax deductible and may be made in the form of cash, check, credit card (except for purchases of SCRIP, Market Day, or fundraisers), or gift in kind.

All gifts are accepted with deep gratitude and will be used wisely and prudently.  Our budget and financial expenditures are available for public scrutiny at any time.

Please remember DCS if your company has a matching gift program or participates in the United Way campaign.

• DIRECT GIFTS – May be made at any time

• PARTNERS FOR PROGRESS – Pledged giving.  May be made at any time.  Gifts made through Partners for Progress are tithed upon to other ministries in our community including but not limited to: the Decatur Christian Education Foundation, Salvation Army, New Life Pregnancy Center, Teen Challenge, Good Samaritan Soup Kitchen.

• STOCKS, BONDS, PROPERTY – Gifts of stock, bonds, and/or property are generally handled through our account with the Community Foundation of Decatur to insure that all gifts of stock, bonds, and/or property, are legally sound.

• SCRIP PROGRAM – Gift cards to local businesses purchased through the school yield a percentage return which is applied toward student scholarships.

• MARKET DAY – Grocery Co-Op. Orders placed monthly.

• FUNDRAISERS – All DCS fundraisers will be listed on the website.  You will enjoy choosing a fundraiser which best fits your giving profile.
