Please join Pastor Steve Hohm and DCS in welcoming Jackie Lane to her new role as the Decatur Christian School Elementary Principal. Jackie began teaching at DCS in the fall of 2016. She was the Pre-K3 head teacher in the mornings, and taught Kindergarten in the afternoons. In 2019, Jackie became our full-time Kindergarten teacher.
She is an active member of her church, and over time has been a teacher, a worship team member, assisted in Upwards Basketball, and a church board member.
Jackie is currently working on her Bachelor of Education degree through Millikin University. She has also attended Anderson University and Richland Community College.
Jackie is married to Joshua, and they recently celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary. Jackie and Joshua have four children ranging in ages from 6 to 15 years old. Jackie and her family reside in Maroa.
Jackie comments “I’m honored to be a part of the leadership team that will help train up godly leaders at DCS. I’m so excited to see what this adventure holds.”

Exploring the Depths, the Hope of the Light Fall 2019 Theatre Production Secondary students took to the stage for Macabre: Tales from Edgar Allan Poe by Jules Tasca and directed by DCS Fine Arts teacher Mrs. Dodson. The production featured four of Poe's lesser-known short stories: "William Wilson", "The Valdemar Case", "The Imp of the Perverse", and "The System".
