We desire to align with homeschool students by offering courses to complement the family's educational plan.
We are excited to encourage a shared extra-curricular experience for all students.
We value fostering healthy relationships with homeschool families to grow as a school community and develop richer opportunities for friendships.
Elementary Field Trip
Homeschool Initiative Options
We offer choices for homeschool students in elementary, middle school, and high school.
The Homeschool Initiative is designed for students taking up to four classes at Decatur Christian School.
For middle and high school students, there are two additional options available beyond the Homeschool Initiative:
1) Part-time enrollment with 5 classes
2) Full-time enrollment
To qualify for a high school diploma from DCS, students must maintain enrollment in at least 5 classes throughout their senior year.

Decatur Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. ACSI promotes the cause of Christian education, protects the freedoms of Christian schools, and aids and strengthens schools. DCS works with ACSI especially in the area of standardized student testing.Decatur Christian School is a fully recognized non-public school by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), providing for the transfer of all credits to qualified centers of higher education
