Position: English Teacher (Grades 7–12)

Location: Decatur Christian School, Decatur, IL

Salary Range: $20,000–$27,000

About Us: Decatur Christian School is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered education that nurtures academic excellence and strong Christian character. We are seeking a passionate and qualified English teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades 7–12.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that promote critical thinking, writing skills, and a love for literature.
• Integrate biblical principles into classroom instruction.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to Christian values and the mission of Decatur Christian School.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
